Hey, folks. Just to let you know that I’ve posted a considerably extended extract from my new slash novel “Everything Is Illuminated,” which I hope starts to give you a better flavour of the story. I was very happy indeed with the way this one turned out. The dynamic between Jack and Daniel is a slow-burn but deep emotional connection. I had a lot of fun sticking with Jack all the way through and seeing him going through a lot of change and growth. Oh, and this one has one of my favourite little original characters ever…Brian.

It’s funny how things work out. I was innocently and happily working on my original fiction story yesterday when I decided to take a break and tidy out my ’stories in progress’ folder, clear away all the snippets and scenes from “Everything Is Illuminated.” I wound up clearing out a lot more dead wood than that, and actually looking at several other Jack & Daniel stories I’ve started and left to work on other things along the way. One story really jumped out at me: “Genesis.” As I read it, I thought this is a killer idea. An alternate reality that springs from the events of Season 1’s “There But For The Grace Of God.” Why the heck didn’t I finish this? Then I remembered: “Everything Is Illuminated” muscled in. Sometimes a story will just take over, no matter how hard it is to write or how long it takes. I found myself thinking about “Genesis” all last night and again today. Now I have to write it, because it won’t let me be. So without further ado, announcing…
